SUNDAY CONFESSIONS

Which do you prefer, ,a physical book or an e-reader?

My answer: Honestly, I can have either one. I guess I would rather have the physical copy, but the e-reader books dont get their covers all bent up and dirtied, now do they? Plus, they will last longer (as long as there is nothing wrong with the e-reader, of course). It really doesn't matter to me, though. Just as long as I get to live the "life" of the character.

Teaser Tuesday #22

From: Kindle Location 2521-32 in Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare:

She drew an iron key from a pocket of her dress, and slid it into the lock of the door. The head of the key was in the shape of an angel with outspread wings; the wings gleamed out once, briefly, as Charlotte turned they key, and the door swung open.

Waiting on Wednesday #3

Divergent by Veronica Roth
Release Date: May 3rd, 2011
Synopsis: In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her.

Thursday Interpretations #9

"No one can make you feel inferior without your permission." ~Eleanor Roosevelt

My Thoughts: You won't feel bad about yourself due to someone's words unless you let them get to you.

Fun Friday #1

This is something that one of my really good blogging friends, Destiny @ Green Lillipads, has started her own meme, and I thought it was a really awesome idea! You just post a book, CD, song, movie, etc. that you think is really cool for that week :).

This week: CLOCKWORK ANGEL by Cassandra Clare. I finished this book the previous Wedn. and loved it! I think that everyone should read this novel, but they should also read the Mortal Instruments series by Clare: City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, soon-to-be City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls (2012), and City of Heavenly Fire (2013).
